Even the tomboyish girls love to make "potions".Get a bunch of unscented shampoos and/or bubble bath.,empty containers,labels/markers,stickers,colored soap scents (from arts & craft stores ) and let them make their own custom bathing experience!

Is there a place in your area that does group parties. You can go to a pizza place with an arcade - some of them have good prices. There is also bowling, laser tag, or what about some kind of stamp camp thing where they get to make Christmas cards. So many people are into that - I'm sure you could find someone to help out or you could find a hobby store to get information.

Not very feminine? Well what does she like? Does she like sports? reading? what? One of the best birthday parties we had when I was a kid was just having everyone over to eat, then we played board games and all kinds of slumber party games etc. Watched creepy movies until we fell asleep. Just let them decide... If she is 13 she probably has a good idea of what she would like (within reason)

Movies, pizza and popcorn. What kinda movies does she like? Have a horror movie fest, or a comedy fest, or a drama fest. Let her pick out 3 or 4 movies to rent that she really likes, and have an old fashioned sleepover where they can stay up all night watching movies, eating pizza and popcorn.. she doesn't really need a party. Have a cake and ice cream, open presents and let her have the night with her friends.

Order a pizza with all the toppings and the crazy bread..make homemade cookies, let your daughter pick out a movie for them to watch, make party favor bags filled with candy and cool looking pens and school stuff. Before you know it the party will be over. Also let your daughter buy twister and put a cd player downstairs with her favorite music so she can blast it. Also take her to a party place and let her pick out some stuff to decorate. I bet she would love that.

Get her her first 22 rifle or BB gun for a presesnt. My pappy took my to the gun store and got me my 1st 22 rifle when I was 12. I joined the Marines years later.
As for the party take her to a family fun place you know with games, lazer tag, roller rink, pizza all that fun jazz.

Make Picture frames.

Take a picture of each kid with your daughter. print it out for them before the end of the party, (idea: walgreens! if you don't have a printer. (19¢ a print) will print in an hr. after you upload them!)

give them magazines and flyers with pictures of things. and let them design their own picture frame.

(you can buy cheep picture frames that hold 4x6 pictures. in any dollar store!)

also, for your daughter, print an extra picture of each friend. and also, take pictures of them playing around. painting, pasting, etc..

make her an album of her birthday party to remember.
have girls write on index cards that are 4x6 birthday wishes, and decorate that too.

insert the first picture of her,
than start placing the pictures of the friends.
one picture, faces the index card that girl made.
and so on. after that, place the action shots of the girls playing around.

each girl comes out with a cool project.
and your daughter comes out with an album to make the day as special as possible.

there you have it!
Congrats on the birthday
and Good Luck!

my daughter had a party for her birthday, she turned 11 and is not very feminine either...i suggest an in-depth scavenger hunt that leads back to the kitchen where the winning team gets to prepare the meal for everyone...you can get cheap prizes...we use silly things like stickers, lip gloss, head bands, markers...etc...it was fun and you can use any theme that you want...i did hair and make-up because they wanted to have a punk/goth theme...it was fun
