Well, it depends on what kind of job you are looking for. If you are looking for something in retail then just go from store to store and apply in person. A mall is good for this. If you want a job in a more professional setting, go online to the job search sites and see who's hiring in your area and apply to what you're qualified for. Go online to the websites of companies you want to work for and find their careers or employment section and see what jobs they have available.

Brush up your resume and or application and give all those a try.

If you're getting the interviews but not the jobs then brush up your appearance or interviewing skills.

If you're younger and you don't want to do retail then offer to do odd jobs or babysit or run errands for other people.

There's tons of stuff you can do.

Good luck.

It could be a number of things. For example, the field just isn't in demand and there aren't a lot of jobs out there. Or it could be that there's very stiff competition and you're just one of the masses. Maybe it's that you're not qualified enough for the jobs you're applying for. Or maybe you're not coming across well in interviews.

The KEY is to take a good hard look at what's really happening here. If it's because there aren't a lot of jobs in that field or area, then you need to expand outside it. If it's because you're lacking in your qualifications, then perhaps you need some additional training to make yourself more qualified.

But if it's because your not doing well in interviews, then you definitely need to brush up on your interviewing because that's the ultimate key to landing a job. You can have a great cover letter and resume, but it's the interview that lands you that job!

This is a bit difficult not knowing what your skills are, however there are many employment centers available that have questionaires that you can fill out that match your interests and skills and guide you as to which type of jobs would be appropriate for you. They also help with resume writing, interview skills etc. Some even have job coaching that can help the first few months of the job to make sure that it is the right job for you. Good luck with the search.
