you were good for checking the ram. the problem is pretty common thoe. in most casses I'm sorry to tell you but your computer as what we call a virus. also called a worm. its a file that goes into your system32 files (your start up files) and infects then by putting a file that tells the computer to reboot over and over again and again. what i would try is try booting the computer is safe mode. if this don't work also try booting it in safe mode with networking enabled if your using a intranet which you are prolly not. also, try seeing if you can get some floppy disks for the computer to restore your system32 files. if non of this works. please go to geek quad at http://www.geeksquad.com/?PSRCH and call them. there 24/7 and can help you with this problem.
well... hope this answers your question

If you had the Windows disk you could be fine but since you don't I think that the only way to fix it is to get a Windows disk. You have to reinstall the OS or find a virus program that will scan your computer before it goes into windows.

Try to let it cool out and... try to get it cool,.. see if you can get it's temperture very low (if you don't have rain or snow,.. try takeing it out to the car and babysitting it for a while). See if that makes a difference. If it does then your computer is set to turn off when it reaches a certain temperture,.. your supposed to be able to fix this in Bios.
Other problems might be your Video Card, your Monitor,.. or you have one of the Viruses that does that.

sounds like you have a virus, or was this computer windows operating system installed by someone or manufacturer because it also sounds like an unstable install.
