I am already 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. Do you think this would work?

It's worth a try as it doesn't do any harm and only works if your body is ready for the baby to come out. It doesn't hurt, but you do get a bright red face for 10 seconds. With my first kid, it worked for me. With my second, it didn't.

Yes. It can work. With my daughter, I was about a week overdue and went in to have my membranes scraped at 9:00am. It was a little uncomfortable but not too bad. I started to have contractions about 12 hours later and she was born by 10 am the following day.
It doesn't work for everyone, but it is definately worth a try!
Congratulations and good luck!

It could potentially work. It did not work with my first pregnancy and it hasn't worked for this pregnancy either (and I am 5cm dilated and almost completly effaced but not having contractions regularly). I have heard it working for many women but for me it didn't do anything.
