It isn't possible for there to be a tie because human polls don't have an even amount of votes and there will be someone with more votes

Technically, there could be a tie, and in fact the computer rankings for #2 were a tie. The Coaches & Harris polls with the right amount of abstensions, or no-votes - could tie. But extremely unlikely since they take each to 1 / 10,000th of a point.

To my understanding - if there were a tie - they play dodgeball to break the tie.
