I'm not much of a Martin Short fan, but if you've ever watched anyone try to interview Robin Williams, you know how funny he is. I've seen everyone from Barbara Walters to Oprah Winfrey to Diane Sawyer TRY to interview him, and he goes off on a tangent and the next thing you know, you're laughing, they're laughing, the audience is laughing, and control has gone out the window.

I think that Robin Williams is funny but Martin Short is not really funny.

Both of them are funny in their own ways.
Every appearence for Robin is a different show, he is constantly looking for and finding new material. If you ever get the chance to see him live, DO IT.
Martin is funny in a more juvenile way to me. Although much more funny than the Dumb and Dumber and Adam Sandler mindset. I hope that "Click" is a turning point for Adam's humor.
Don't look too deep into any comedian's humor, (with the exception of George Carlin) He makes you really think!

Used to be. Robin Williams early stuff was absolutely hilarious. Martin Short was just pathetic.
Now Williams is too busy trying to be a messenger for liberal politics.

Robin Williams was never funny and Martin was only slightly funny. If you watch either of them, they never say anything funny, they are just really loud and aggressive about it.

Funny in moderation;
Half hour TV shows are good but sometimes not enough to get in the groove of their specific style of comedy or can be too much if it is just them.
Hour long shows such as Saturday Night Live are where they shine, enough of them but also others to balance their particular flavor.
Movies are too high a dose of them, unless they play supporting characters, are voices for animated characters, or play separate characters in costume.

williams is a comic genius. his mind thinks so fast and he can do any kind of comedy. i love him.
martin short is funny at times.
