I put my name on a nanny agency and I got a email from a man who Is suppose to be working for a client to find a nanny. He states that they are moving to my area and a re willing to pay vey well to watch their 2 kids. They are sending me a deposit but het this its coming from a third party with some extra money that this third party owes them. I am suppose to take my deposit out of this money and then foreward the rest to their real estate agent. I told them I would have to wait for the check to clear before I would send anything they were okay with this. The extra money is of a substantial amount should I trust them and do this since they are trusting me with this type of money. It just seems fishy to me what would you do.

Oh sweetie this is a scam! Please do not involve yourself in it as professing your innocence will not keep you from being arrested.

Stay clear.

This is a scam...the same thing happens with auto sales. The check will go through, and you will forward the money. The other party will then dispute the charge and you will loose the money from your acnt...plus you paid some out.

Tell him to cash the check and give you your balance. I'm positive he won't respond again.

If your radar so to speak is going off then you should check it out. The easiest way would be to call the Local Sheriffs Department where they are from and explain. Tell them you just want to know if its safe for you to get involved.
they may not tell you details but they will tell you its safe or it is not.

Is he from anywhere you have applied for a job? Who is sending you a deposit and what for?

DON'T Do IT! This is a variation on the "Nigerian" scam.
