my company doesn't close for anything and I do mean anything not even if the weather is bad. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week 52 weeks a year 365 days a year

No but we should - every company in our industry does, so we basically sit around and do nothing. The phone doesn't ring, the mail is low and by the end of the week we have totally run out of work. I think of all the things I could be getting done at home.

Are you for real. I work along with the stock market. If they're open, my company is open. Life stinks. I think, regardless, we should have the day after off also like the rest of the world does.

I work for the electric company and we rarely ever get time off. The majority of the time there is always a full crew..

Nope, but they are very flexible about needing time off. It's rare for a company and we work hard to help them during emergencies as a result.

No my company doesn't, this year we have a half day the friday before and then monday and tuesday off. i would love if we had the whole week off tho...i dont have any kids but, itd still be nice, hehe!

They would lose a ton of money if they did. Many companies have do allow people to vacation that that time but it is first come, first serve.
