i think they have a book of all the rolling stone covers.. that might be neat well not all of the rolling stone covers but a good section of them :)

Why not wander down to the local Barnes & Noble or Borders and look around? They usually have a lot of this kind of book in the discount section!

THe best jazz legends of our time........or perhaps The Best R&B legends of our time.
Of course if you know the persons favorite singer, songwriter find out and give them a coffe table book about their life.
For instance....I always loved Joni Mitchell.....I am sure there is a good coffee table book about her life....and I know it would be a good topic of conversation too.
