I watched it when i was younger, but i think people like because it's a different idea for a family, an alien in you house?.......besides he was so cute and funny too.
Who played alf was Mihaly 'Michu' Meszaros (Actor inside the costume) and Paul Fusco (Voice)

Paul Fussco played his voice and he had a puppeteer to do the rest, but I loved his sense of humor and how he kept trying to eat the cat.

cant remember who played him but i was a kid when he was on air. i thought that he was funny just like the dinosaurs show.
