I would suggest calling your doctor and ask them what you should do, they might just have you come into the office. If the discharge is thick discharge I would it might be your mucus plug, which is all right to lose. If it is watery and kind of feels like you peed your pants then it is probably your water. Give your doc a call and see how they want to proceed.

Chyna,
I would say your body is just getting you ready for labor, especially with the Braxton Hicks. I am unsure about the clear discharge. If it was amniotic fluid, it could come in one big gush or in several smaller gushes. It would seem like you were wetting your pants, only it is clear and there is no real odor to the fluid. It isn't really like discharge. When I had Braxton Hicks, sometimes they came on pretty strong and I did feel somewhat out of breath. This happened with both my babies a few weeks before they were born... one was born at 38 weeks and the other at 37 weeks. From your question, it does not sound like you are in labor, but it would be OK to call your OB/GYN doctor's office and ask to speak with a nurse. The nurse should be able to tell you specifically what is going on and allay any of your fears. God bless!

The same thing happened to me. I had my daughter three weeks ago. Early in the morning and throughout the day, I started feeling what I thought were Braxton-Hicks contractions. They weren't regular at all so I didn't worry too much. When I went to the bathroom (before I pushed to pee), clear liquid came out.
I called my doctor and she told me to time my contractions. She said that when they get closer together and stronger, about 4 minutes apart, call her back and then go to the hospital to meet her there.
She called me a few hours later and I told her that they were still irregular, but she told me to come down to the hospital anyway, because she wanted to induce labor. (I was two weeks past due, anyway.)

You should go to the hospital. If in fact your water broke, which they can test for with really simple tests, then you need to have your baby within 24 hours to cut back the risk of infection. Also.. with my son I didn't think I was really having contractions because they were not getting stronger and I was tolerating them well. After 5 hours and 1 min. I was holding him in my arms. If you have dilated since then and are over a 4, I think, they will keep you and induce anyhow. Good luck.

Go to the hospital. There is nothing embarrassing about being sent home... It happened to me! Better safe than sorry, especially if your water has broken. Doctors will make sure the baby is born within 24 hours of your water breaking - any longer than that can complicate the birthing process.

You could be in labour, but if you dont know, you will have to ask someone who will. Call your out of hours surgery or midwife and tell them your symtoms. You may need an examination to see if your dilated any more. You could also be experiencing a show, which is a sign that birth is closer that you thought. Get it checked out to be safe, and make sure your not on your own tonight. Best of luck!!
