Marriage is forever, when you make that vow to love, honor and cherish that person till death do you part....that's exactly what it is. Wether you're together or not, you made that vow and it will always stick with you.

The vows you take when you get married says for better or worse. In richer or poorer , in sickness and in health , till death due you part. Marriage should be forever, but there is always one of the partners that thinks the grass is always greener. The divorce rate is now at 65% . Which is terrible. Life is full of rough spots , and the easy way out is divorce for the people of today. It so sad they do not take there vows seriously. I think most kids now think if it does work out just get a divorce, the easy way out.

It's supposed to last forever, but it's only if both partners work at it. Too bad there's too many people who get divorced instead of trying to keep a marriage alive and well instead of cheating, abusing or just leaving. Takes maturity to keep a marriage, takes immaturity and no communication for it all to fall apart.

That's the idea sadly it doesn't seem to be that way anymore. No one really takes it seriously anymore. That line in your vows in Good times and bad means something but these days the minute something bad happens they are in divorce court faster than they said I Do.

I like to think so. I have been married almost 26 years (26 in Feb.) It hasn't always been peachs and cream but that's part of life and I wouldn't trade her for anything or anyone.

Unless you are entering a marriage with the intention to divorce after a period of time. In the exchange of vows between both parties, it states "..... until death do us part..." It is up to both parties and how they handle conflicts that arise.

I think everyone gets married and has the intent on staying together forever. Sometimes it doesn't always work out that way.
