Usually they will either go into a moulded plug or if all are yellow with identical ends it will not matter which way round they go, generally the three wires will provide full charge rate when all 3 are connected half power for running without lights when 2 are connected and sometime full power when two are connected, Old fashioned bikes, pre 1970 BSA etc and even modern little Japs and Chinese have lightswitch which cuts the extra coils in so if your wires go ito the loom this is a possibility
Check with a voltmeter, if the voltage drops when the lights go on at 5000 rpm, swap a pair of wires over.

Anyway what benefit i there in asking how are we to know which or three identical wires goes to which terminal, trial and error is your only option my friend

Yes, they can plug in any way. Each of the 3 wires coming out of the alternator is sending out AC volts (+ - + - + -). Each one is sending out an equal amount of voltage (depending on the speed the rotor is turning). When that voltage goes into the rectifier, the rectifier changes the AC voltage into DC volts through a series of diodes. It doesn't matter where each yellow wire goes into the rectifier. Because the diodes are
playing "loop-d-loop" with the AC voltage, eventually only allowing DC volts to finally go to the regulator.

Actually, if you have a rectifier, then the charging system is an alternator rather than a generator.
An alternator produces AC current, and needs to be converted to DC, via a rectifier.
A generator produces DC current, and doesn't need to be converted.

any way you like, been fitting honda rectifiers to suzukis for years without problems with three yellow wires. If the other wires are red(or red and white) black and green then green is battery earth, red is live and black goes to any live that comes on when the ignition is turned on.
