Personally I thought it was awful. The part where the wife died was sad and all, but the whole plot and theme was so STUPID!!!!!

Yeah it didn't make sense to me either, everything plot wise was all over the place.

This was probably the best, most original movie of the this year. Much better than most of the stuff Hollywood vomits up year after year.
That and you probably didn't understand it.
