Just an idea. I'm just thinking about his standing with the world community. They held him up pretty high. It might be a bit strange with Bush in the White House and Clinton at the UN... Try to mask your bias towards any one party and try to view this question as if you were not from the United States.

That's the best idea I have heard all month. As president, Clinton ushered in a golden age of prosperity and advanced economic globalization. I'd be willing to bet that folks in other countries still wish that he was the U.S. President. He would be a perfect choice for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. He's experienced, articulate, and convincing - Bill has a way of bringing people together.

Perhaps when when he is back in The White House (this time with Mrs. Clinton in charge)...

Thumbs up Toddius!

No, Der Schleikmeister isn't qualified! People seem to love him, but he's just not up to the job. His version of foreign diplomacy always was and still would be a total waste of time! Bias has nothing to do with it! It's a shame our do-nothing Senate wouldn't confirm Bolton to his U.N. position. We lost a good man!

A bigger question to ponder is why does the United States still participates in one of the most corrupt quasi-political organizations in the world? We give them the land the building sits on in New York, we fund the majority of their projects, we supply the greatest portion of any military incursions and they still discredit and criticize us to no end! Kick 'em all out and sell that prime real estate to a developer for better use!

Not from the US here, great idea, probably one of the best I heard on answers in a long time.If he would want to do that, that would be the best news for the world in years and Bush would finally show he's not a yes man for the PNAC,the conservative think thank that got him elected and got America stuck in Iraq.

Sure.... I mean the United Nations is a politically self serving organization being led by one of the most corrupt people in modern times ( Kofi Annan). So, send in Bill. He would fit right in.

Sure. He is certainly qualified - he is as corrupt as any of them. And if Rodham becomes President, they would fight over taking advice from jimmy carter or jacque charic. Talk about the decline of civilization......

.the reason he is held in such "high esteem" is because unlike others before him, he sold our nuclear and technological secrets to anyone who would threaten him ....just learn about china and north korea..clinton gave n korea the nuclear facilities to make their nukes..and gave military secrets and trch to china for the asking..well..not really for the asking..for campaign donations...talk about a sell out sob...if he was our united nations ambassador..you might count on a statue of lenin or marx or stalin being in front of the un building before he was through...same with his wife...
you have just got to be kidding...this man is no where near a real american patriot..he is a "one-worlder" of the highest order and sells us out every chance he gets...
