I go to the barbershop for a weekly haircut to make myself look presentable/professional for my job. This is above my norm of a haircut every 2 or 3 weeks before I became a Police Officer. Is this legitimately tax-deductible as a business expense? Even without receipts? I average $14-17 a week on haircuts. Thanks.

Even though they are required, they are not deductible.

I doubt it. Your hair has nothing to do with your ability to do your job. Personal appearance does not make you a good cop, just a better looking one. If that was the case, then everyone would be allowed tax breaks for cutting their hair.

This is not deductible at all. Haircuts are not necessary for you to do you job. It may aid your appearance for your job but is not necessary.
