If he is proven not to the your biological father then I don't understand why he would have to pay child support. They should have went after the biological father for support.

By law the non-biological parent is not obligated unless he/she has legally adopted the child. If this person has been paying child support then they have a big heart and is doing it because they love that child.

U.S. law only if he is the biological parent. Other countries may have different laws. Paying support if you were married is fine, at his own discretion.

No I don't think thats fair. But by alw if that person is there financially for the child from the time of birth then they could be ordered to pay

He shouldn't have to pay - no. Futhermore, he should be paid back all monies paid into the child support in the first place.

the father should pay what is ordered. the "non-biological parent" should be refunded what he paid.
