Well, no -- "capitalism" wouldn't work better that way, but society might :)

Capitalism is all about making the most amount of money possible. For a company, one of the best ways to make money is to get the labor you need at the lowest possible cost, give no benefits, and keep as much money going towards profit as possible.
If it weren't for the intervetion of government to curtail unbridled capitalism, everyone except business owners and investors would be true slaves. We as a society have agreed that unbridled capitalism is not in the best interests of our society, and so have enacted laws to put limits on what capitalists can do to earn money. It's a reasonable balance between the needs of society and true capitalism :)

The companies DO work for us! When you are a customer, the company you buy from works for you. The good ones do, anyway. The other ones dont stay around too long.
Queston for you: If you voluntarily work for someone for wages, how does that make you a wage slave? Nobody is holeind a gun or other impliment of persuasion to your head to force you to do that. You only find that in your socialist paradises lile Red China, North Korea, and other such hellish utopias.
I work for wages, and I am NOT a slave.
If you are referring to low-pqy unskilled jobs, many of the people who stay in those positions are too lazy to learn anything and acquire some skills. They choose to be there, therefor they are NOT slaves

No.

In captialism, people invest money to make money, and the rich are the people who invest the most money. And the money they make has to come from somewhere.

It's not perfect, but the alternative is that the rich don't invest any money, only spend money when they want an item, and then the whole economy goes down the crapper.

This is America, dude. If you don't want to work for corporats, open your own small business. Or buy shares of corporations - this way they work for you...But I agree - when you work for them, it sucks.
