I think for some it is very hard to put ourselves in the shoes of the younger generation. People often romanticize their own youth and thus they don't want to remember how confusing and frustrating adolescence can be.
To be fair, however, a lot of teenagers do ask a lot of stupid questions mostly to try and be funny. Also plenty of questions have already been answered on this site, and a simple search can give you thousands of "does penis size matter" type questions.
I think that too many of us feel that we are special. We feel like our situation is so different from others, that although my boyfriend beats me it is different from that lifetime movie because I REALLY love him. But it isn't true, we are all the same on both sides of the generation gap.

You cannot give advice without criticizing. Advice is given on conditions of past experience and the weighing of the odds.
If you cant take the answers given in their proper context, then you arent mature enough to be asking the questions in the first place.
You can take that as either criticism or advice. It doesnt matter to me.
By the way remember, you get what you give. If you dont give any respect, the world doesnt owe you a darn thing. You have to earn it.

I am 30 and I know you don't mean everyone I have 3 kids and I'm always the one they come to and I don't know all the answers but I have always thought that when you ask questions it was a good thing no matter what because your trying to learn so I don't think people should put younger people down for their questions knowledge is power

I am 24 and if you feel that when you ask a question older people are being critical then I appologize for them, but it could also be that they are not being critical as much as its just the way they say things . As I'm sure you know there are lots of people who ans questions not to be helpful but just for the points

Thanks for setting all of us adults straight on that one !
The idea here is to ask a question and not ramble on about yourself.
When I was your age I did not do the same thing and if you want respect you have to earn it ! Nobody owes you a damn thing, so don't tell others to "give us some respect".

People 18 and under get on my nerves when they get on here and ask the same question over and over without first researching to see if that question has been answered (thousands of times!!). You want someone to do all the work for you instead of finding you own way!

i wonder what someone told you...
in my opinion, not only "people 18 and up" are critics...just the "stupid people and up"
I've seen stupid comments, rude answers, unsupported critics, etc from people of all ages.
it is really a bad thing that people can't be always reasonable...
they are dumb
