I think it is perfectly alright. Letting out one's feelings is a sign of psychological health. Bottling up problems and feelings only to have them eat away at you is never good. We are SUPPOSED to cry when we are hurt or feel sad. It is not a sign of weakness, buy a sign of strength. Men who hide from their feelings are not strong - they are uncomfortable with themselves and attempting to conform to a false ideal.

I feel its okay for a man to cry. Everyone has feelings and to cryis the best way of letting it out. Now there are some limits I guess u can say like a man who crys over everything and trys to cry to get his way out of the problem then its a bit much. I guess i say that cuz I am not a cryer unless I am very hurt or truly upset. I dont look at a man to be weak for cryin at all its the same as a anyone else. Its the natural sign of emotion and feelings.

No!! Because men are told from childhood not to cry, I believe that men who cry are only being manipulative. Unless the reason is a good one like a death or a birth, the men I have known only cried when they wanted me to do something or feel something that I didn't want. My new requirements for a man are that they don't cry unless something really bad has happened.

I believe that a real man is not afraid to cry when they are experiencing that raw emotion . The first time I saw my Dad cry was when his Mother died. I'll never forget that. My Dad was 6'3" and an Army Drill Sargeant. It made me realize that even big, badass men feel really deep pain and have to let it out sometimes. We are human. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand a whiney guy, but that's a whole different story.

Absolutely, men are not robots without feelings. There are times when it would be inappropriate to cry, like when others are counting on you to show courage, or if you are trying to get your way (very unmanly), and in general the threshold should be higher than that of a woman, but If I lose someone I love in death, I cry, when I went through my divorce I had moments I cried in private, and when I have seen people who are hurting really bad I have cried with them.

I think it is acceptable for men to cry. Remember: Girls think a guy crying shows weakness; but Women offer their shoulder and a tissue.

I think it is okay for men to cry. It takes a strong man to cry knowing that society thinks he is weak if he does. Crying allows a man to rid himself of the pressures he is facing, if he keeps all that bottled up inside he might go crazy.I have this to say. MEN dont DRINK or SMOKE, CRY.

I think it is normal for a man to cry at 'appropriate times' and shows that they have feelings and are human beings. I would wonder about a guy that was able to suppress tears during painful times....such as the sickness and/or loss of a loved one, coping with hardships, etc. Crying is a coping mechanism for all human beings....and although none of us want to be ruled by emotions it's normal to express agony and helplessness through tears.

Depends upon the situation. Men should not be embarrassed to have emotions in extremely sensitive times. But those occasions should be very rare.
For women to assume men have no feelings is wrong. Men need to be "allowed" to express their occasional sadness as well. There is just a much higher threshold that men need to achieve in order to cry.

It is fine for men to cry under certain circumstances. A death of someone close, a child's accomplishment, at the alter(out of joy), and possibly if their feelings are hurt real bad in a relationship. But mostly no.
