It was recreational.
Like many megalomaniacs The Enron hierarchy documented their meetings. There is video evidence of the Board of Directors laughing about the California theft.
Bush also admitted he wanted to punish CA for not voting for him.

So you are saying that everything that Mr.Bush did was wrong and that it was all his fault that Enron happened?
How about asking Mrs Jackson the congresswoman from Texas about WHO was her campain manager in 1994 when she first ran for congress. It was none other than Mr. Lay. She did not even make a peep when he was charged nor when he bilked Enron the money but you make it sound like Mr. Bush did nothing. It was his administration who brought charges against Mr. Lay and got the conviction on the charges!
Oh and just as a side note Mr. Lay and Enron gave MORE to the Democrats for their re election that to the Republicans.

Let's see if we've got this straight:
Knowing that Enron was tottering financially, several California power companies buy power from it anyway...then the power doesn't come when Enron guaranteed it would...and the person who is 100% completely to blame....is George Bush?
Hard to know who's more damn pathetic...all the right wing conservative loony tunes who defend Bush for every stupid thing he's done, or all the left wing giggle-sissy liberals who blame him for everything under the sun.

Ahhh....the rolling blackouts?...lol
That was Dick Cheney's doing. It was his secret meeting with him(KL and other ilk) and the suit that the Sierra Club brought against him. How could you forget DC's duck hunting trip with Scalia two weeks before it came before the SC( Scalia refused to recuse himself)...DC claiming it was secret b/c it falls under National security(all happening prior to 9/11).
Grrr.....

So how did Bush help them steal the money? Your question makes no sence. Yes I believe they donated money to his party. That does not make him part of it. If I steal 10 dollars from the bank and give it to the salvation army would they be required to give it back, or be accused of helping me steal it.
