Yes.

Chavez is not a dictator, because he did not use a military cuo to gain power of the country.

He was voted in by the Venezuelans, and they still love their President.

Noam Chomsky & Chavez should embrace in the liberal marriage they've embarked on. I think it's no bit of coincidence that the left wing is united with Chavez. Anything related to despotism and communism is an ideology that liberals love.

On the flip side, however...

Chavez is right that Bush isn't a good leader, but his reasons for it are wrong

Chavez's sentiments (towards Bush) mirror mine almost exactly...but...I don't hate Bush.
Hate encompasses too many strong emotions and Bush isn't deserving of anything stronger than 'the middlefinger' from me.
I think Bush is a mentally inept, lying, free-roaming doofus and I don't like him.
I'm not a fan of his.
I don't like the harm he has exposed our troops to in Iraq!
AND...I don't like the fact that the American public hasn't received the truth (from the Bush White House)about the entire matter!

It has more to do with being anti Bush than pro Chavez. The American influence in the recent Venezuelan election was non existent.

Check your facts, morons.

Chavez isn't a dictator. In fact, he was just re-elected democratically and an anti-Chavez movement in Venezuela is gaining strength.

Not to mention, what kind of military threat does Venezuela present? NONE! Just like Iraq!

Well, he wouldn't like me much as I haven't been to a Citgo or 7-11 in over 3 years...

He likes the citizens because we have the freedom to speak freely and many of our citizens support his actions and viewpoints. One of the many things that makes living in America such a joy as compared to other nations in the world. We are able to have public opinions...good stuff.

My view is that his people voted for him as they believe his actions reduced their economic suffering.

Chomsky likes to ignore the war crimes and human rights violations of left-wing governments.
