This past week I have been having a miscarriage. I was 6 weeks along and it was my first child. I had an ultrasound yesterday that confirmed that the baby was completely out of me and I didnt need a D&C done. Now I am just bleeding like a normal period. We are still greiving but we have excepted the fact that there was nothing that we could have done to prevent it and it wasnt our fault. The baby just wasnt developing right. We were trying for months. I want to know when it is safe to have sex and when is it safe to try and concieve again. I heard that most woman are really fertile after having a miscarriage for up to three months but some doctors say that you should wait for three months to try and concieve. I am confused about the whole thing. If anyone out there can give me some advice please do so. Thank you!!!

Since I wasn't very far along my cervix did not have to dialate at all. My uterus didnt even stretch either. The baby was so small to even have to change anything except my hormones.

May get mixed ideas here. We waited almost six months, as, we felt it better to wait. Also, make sure, how ever long you decide; to be eating the things you need to help your baby. Folic Acid one they push and I think there some other things your body need, I just do not remember them.

It depends on what your doctor says. Most women should wait 2-3 months afterward so that their body can heal. Otherwise you could have another miscarriage. Your uterus needs time to return to normal and your hormone levels need to level off as well.

It all depends on your body. Talk to your doctor about when it would be safe. I have a friend that had a miscarriage and three weeks later she got pregnant and now she is five months pregnant and everything is going good. Good luck to you

believe it or not you are very fertile after having a miscarriage. your body still wants the baby and so you could become pregnant as soon as you are able to have intercourse. my sister was pregnant again with in a month after and the baby was born healthy and fine

Give your body a chance to return to pre-pregnancy state. You can get pregnant right away - but if you lost the first, you want to make sure your body is ready. I understand your grief - but there was a reason for this - something just wasn't right, which makes it easier to deal with.

I would wait until after your next period to give yourself time to heal.
