It is a good BROAD thesis....you need to narrow it down a bit more. Marketing on what? Toys? Books? Online websites? Advertising on what industry? Amazon.com? Ebay? You need to be more specific or your thesis will be very long in other to answer all these questions.

It is waaaaaaaay to general. You need a much more limited thesis besides I'm finding out about stuff. What are you finding out about? What do you think you are going to find? and how does the effects of marketing and online advertising equate with can a college student survive off the internet?
this is a start but not the end!
