I would have to say an Aries female or a Leo female because you are a fire sign. They will understand your need for independence and freedom, because they are free spirits! I'm an Aries but I never dated a Sag though. Look for someone who you can have a good time with it, and someone who's bad traits don't over shadow their good ones :)!

Of the two, I would say Libra, definitely. She could ground the Sagittarius when need arises. Aries and Sagittarius is just too much fire for anyone to deal with, even the Aries and Sagittarius respectively.
