I just got an operation on my toe for an ingrown toenail, (My husband once had the same thing). So we both knew that when the numbing agent wore off, I'd be in a lot of pain. early this morning he rolled over and saw that I was in a lot of pain, and told me he'd go get me some pain medicine, but 5 seconds later, he was back asleep. Finally I couldn't take it anymore, and when I shouldn't have been walking, really, I got up and took some meds. on my way back to bed, I stubbed the toe I had the operation on. I fell on the floor and he woke up, only to stay on the bed, ask if I was OK, rub my back a little and tell me to get back in bed (in a pleading manner). He asked if there was anything he could do for me, and I told him not anymore, he said "Oh I am so sorry baby" and like 10 seconds later, he was sleeping again. This morning, I didn't get anyhelp from him, all he did was wake up for like 5 seconds, say hey baby, and go back to sleep, should I be upset for anything? Because I am...

Some people fall back asleep real easy. Keep talking to him and he will wake up. Keep nudging. If you need attention for something like that don't get mad, but do be persistent.

Sometimes people just cant wake up. Sounds like he was trying to be loving though. Sorry bout the toe. I would save getting upset for something bigger though. Men can be pretty clueless so im sure something will come up. lol.

Sounds like he was trying to help, but kept going back to sleep! I'm not a morning person so I can relate to that! I know your toe hurts but is this something that you want to fight about? Try asking him for help when he's awake and see what happens/ Remember he's a man and they don't just know what to do, you have to tell them!

Try not to be mad. Most guys seem to have an attention problem. Also I have know guys who have whole conversations when they are not really awake and don't remember later.
My suggestion is to keep your pain meds and some water by the bed so you don't have to rely on him to get them.

No! don't be mad....he is probably just tired, I'm sure he didn't mean to be insensitive to you. Men are like that (sleep through our tragedies). We have a newborn and sometimes when he promises to get up with the baby to feed her, he sleeps through her cries, it makes me so mad, but he's just tired, he didn't mean to disregard her.....I will either wake him up or get up myself.

I am sorry that you stubbed your hurt toe. That sounds awfully painful. OUCH!

I fill u should not get upset with him, because in his sleep he already said sorry to u, secondly in real Marriage love one should not get upset, because Love it self is not to upset, understanding and staying coll is the best habit of a loving wife, No Upset but only Love And Understand each other.

While he sleeps, hit him on his buttocks with a heavy frying pan.
When he awakens, say, 'Hey Baby'. See if that makes ya feel any better.
