I know everyone is supposed to say suddenly; as in not planned...or in my sleep; but I think really I would like to say "goodbye" and pass on some belongings that have sentimental value, and more importantly I have things I need to express to people; and I guess I am a planner..... So when / if I become ill (which there is a pretty fair likely-hood of in old age) I'll take it up to a certain point and then go out myself with some dignity intact, in a big rolling cloud of opium and whatever Dr. K used to help people with that kind of thing. I think I'll have a "Goodbye" party for myself while I'm still able to enjoy it, and then sneak out the back door.

Painlessly in my sleep. I am more afraid of pain than of dying.
