After years of family, friends and co-workers asking me to bake them cakes, cookies, etc. for special events, I’ve decided to try to start a small bakery business from home. I’m be making candies, cookies, cakes, tarts, and maybe branching out into snack foods. Most of my business will be online orders, as I will have no actual place of business so to speak. I’m having a hard time coming up with names though. I live in the Adirondacks, and wanted something that would be cute on a label and that related to nature. I’m considering Firefly Foods, Fox Paw Pantry, Brown Bunny Bakery, Duck Pond Desserts, Dandelion Desserts. I’m open to any other suggestions or votes on favorites.

The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name's originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.
The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future.
Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route...
I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" & have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free & a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending & registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names & yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I know some people that just hate animals. An animal conjures up ideas of non-appealing smells. So, some people may not respond to the idea of rabbits and muffins, for instance.
How about Sunrise Bakeries? Blue Sky Bakery? Fresh Flower Baker? (Get it...Flower..nature...Flour...baking...connection) Maple Forest Bakery, Bread Heaven Cookery, Heavenly Goods, Morning Dew Deliveries...Mother Nature's Best.

Mmmm, making me hungry...online bakery? I better plan ahead next time.
Here's my tip:
Pick a name that has an available URL that is quick to type and easy to remember. Snag the domain before you tell anyone! Now you've got your business/website halfway there.

You're focusing too hard on alliteration, which can be OK, but shouldn't be the first condition for your name. Just think of A) what your product is (comfort foods, organic and healthy, decadent?), B) what you want people to associate it with (something in nature or mountains or such, I assume), and C) WHO do you want to buy your products (and don't say "everyone" - you need to know your target market).
Get these answers, and the appropriate names will be easier to find.
Good luck! OH, and don't forget to tell us where we can order your stuff!

Of the ones you mentioned I like Fox Paw the best., but all sound good. Just make sure that they are not already used either as a DBA in your state, or as a URL.
I like it because in my marketing classes in college, I learned that anything with a "X" in it is good. It catches the eye. It also leads itself to the making of a good company logo.
The reasons I don't like the other are:
I don't like firefly--it's a bug. I don't want to associate bugs with food.
Brown Bunny is too cutsey.
Duck Pond makes me think of algae.
Dandelions, although great in a salad, have little to do with Pastry, and are usually considered a weed.

e-Bread. I also liked the simplicity of an answer listed above "bakery.com".
If you want to go with nature, how about Nature's Oven or Sky Breads.
