Passing gas is a natural thing that our bodies are required to do, so why, in a comfortable setting, with someone you love and trust around, would you be embarrassed to pass gas?

No, most married couples that I know are of the mindset of "know me know my smell". We just say "excuse me" afterwards. Younger marrieds might be embarrassed but they have to get over this in their own time. Good luck.

It's not rude at all if women pass gas in front of there hubby. As you said It is only natural. Besides, women's gas is the greatest aroma in the world!!!! :-)

No idea! I agree with you. You know, I can have sex with the man, and all that goes along with sex, but I can't fart in front of him while watching TV?!? I don't think so. ONe day, when I am old and grey, and sick...he will be changing my diapers! How embarrassing will that be if I can't even fart in front of him. Heck, we all fart in our sleep anyway, so it's not like he hasn't been around it. And, men don't care about farts.....they do it all the time. They don't even give a hoot if a woman farts! (Well, as long as it isn't out in public obviously). Some women are obviously not ready to be married, for better or for worse!

I'm not embarrassed at all. My husband rips one off and he's gonna get an answer from me!
Nothing we can do about body gas.

Just a ritual/thought handed down through the ages. Seems impolite for male or female to . However, it happens as you said and that's that.

Not really its part of life and if you hold it in you will have problems. I would say excuse me or go to the bathroom. If youre used to being around the person it really wouldnt bother you!

because we were taught to NEVER allow any gas to slip out. i was taught that girls don't do that. i thought i was a defective girl for a long time. now, my husband gets to share many of them with me.

Blah...my finaceé is the only person who I would ever fart in front of. He does it in front of me, so why not?

I try to avoid doing it in front of anyone. Should leave the room and go someplace private if there are people around. Call me archaic if you like. :)

Some of us eat rubbish and so when poooo it smells. So it is bad to do it infront of someone we respect.
