I need to find out the approx. value of a "50th BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY OF H.M. QUEEN SIRIKIT OF THAILAND" Silver Coin. I found a website related to it, but I can't read Thai and I'm not having an easy time translating it.

There is a nickel 10 Baht dated BE2525 (1982) of Queen Sirikit 50th birthday,it is KM# Y-154. It was made in uncirculated as well as proof. The regular issue sells for around $4 and the proof $22.50 or so. These are retail prices and you would get less from a world coin dealer. There is also a 600 Baht silver .925 version KM# Y-155 of this coin (on the reverse at the bottom where the word Baht is, there are 3 numbers to the left of it.) the 10 Baht has only 2. The silver one sells for $60 in uncirculated and $225.00 or so in proof. There is even a gold version of 6000 Baht. Going over this in my mind,in all the ads I read about world coins for sale, I don't remember seeing these coins for sale. They may be rarer than we know or don't have a big collector base for that type of an issue. A lot of people collect the Queen of Great Britain, for she is much more famous and in the news. Hope this helps.

Never had a 50th anniversary, and can't remember attending one. My 50th birthday was memorable. I had lost my job, ran out of money, used up my savings, moved across the country to start a new job at half pay. I didn't have enough to rent an apartment, so I was sleeping in Balboa Park. Some of the other homeless folks got me a cupcake, and wished me well.
