He's too old for her. Though it sounds innocent enough at the moment, what's gonna happen if and when the relationship starts to get serious? What does a 17 year old (nearly an adult) see in a 13 year old? That is a four year age difference, and at his age, regardless of what their dates consist of, he only has ONE thing on his mind.
There are vast emotional and mental differences. She is still at the stage where she could be totally persuaded that he's in love with her, when really he's not.
I'm 14 and I'm no prude, I don't think she's too young to date, but there is NO way I'd be allowed to date an 18 year old. I'm allowed to date, but the guy can't be any more than two years older than me (up to 16).
Something that worries me a bit is that he didn't want her talking to other guys. That sounds a bit possessive - not a good thing. He shouldn't be stopping her from having other guys as friends, it's normal.
Don't let them date. Your daughter would be much safer, healthier and happier in a relationship with a younger guy, closer to her own age, say, 13 or 14. What if she was 15, would you let her date a 19 year old guy who's already in college when she's just started high school?
Hope this helps
Good luck :)

I would make rules that no laying in the bed and that is the house rules, especially for guests as he is a guest in your home.
I am very against him being almost 18 with a child that just got into her teen years. To the point I would think twice about allowing it. She can be mad all she wants when it comes to a legal situation. Later on, she will understand when she is a parent of a young teen with adults going after her.
He also seems immature and will be more focused soon on some older females.
Can't stop her from dating him. She will only resent you and go behind your back.
You can advise her your concerns on his behavior and that he is not showing signs of good behavior.
I would pull him aside and discuss your house rules and expectations of dating your daughter. Especially when it comes to physical/sexual and emotional. You are the parent, he and she isn't.

Personally I wouldn't let my 13 year old daughter date a boy that close to being considered a MAN. I think it's risky, really risky.
Second, if you look down the road a few years, she'll be 22 and he'll be 26 and that's not weird.
This is your call Mom, do you trust them? Both of them? He sounds like the beginning of a control freak to me. She's 13, and she can't even TALK to other boys? I think, at this stage, it's a maturity issue more than anything. 13 is too young to be sure enough of yourself to be in a SERIOUS relationship.
Be careful, and talk to your daughter. Sit down on her bed and talk to her.

I don't really understand fully. But it sounds like your daughter is a little young too be dating a 17 year old, let alone dating seriously.!.. I'm 13 and I've really never had a boyfriend, i don't consider going out with someone haveing a boyfriend.
I think you should tell her she needs to think about what's important in her life.. Like seriously it sounds like she's getting too serious/
Good-luck

A 17 year old boy has no business dating a 13 year old girl. At that age boys want to get laid and will manipulate girls to get it, she is probably too innocent to realize that. The myspace thing was kinda immature of you to be honest. I think you should talk to her about the awful truth of teenage boys and encourage her to persue other interests besides dating.

I think that your 13 year old daughter should not be dating a 17 year old. He needs to find a girl that is his own age and she should not be in such a mature relationship. This is a bad scene and will only get worse as they get older.

Teens will be teens. Cuddling is fine...but then again the age difference is a bit gapped in this age. Anyways, if you believe that he will corrupt your daughter...you can always threaten him and tell him that once he turns 18, if he does anything to your daughter that she is too young to do...he can be charged with statutory rape.

What you place on relies upon the place you bypass. in view which you're only 13 do no longer bypass to fancy dinners etc. shop it casual thats the place you're in existence. you may continually bypass to the flicks and gown then may well be casual yet a extra effective casual. the place certainly one of your nicer pair of denims and shirt and you will continually then do a pair of footwear with a small heel by way of top distinction you think of which will reason subject concerns. the comparable can take place in case you desperate to bypass walk around the mall for somewhat. And dont experience shy inviting him over for dinner and then getting into the basement to observe a action picture. And dont bypass overboard with makeup. you're 13 and eyeliner and lipgloss is sufficient.
