They test for all sorts of things. They test your HCG levels, they also test at the time for std's. You can call in and ask for a copy of your blood test results and say you will be picking them up. They can not deny them to you. Then come home and search them out online its pretty simple to see what they are and see the correct levels and what not of blood tests once you have them in front of you.
Secondly I would call back and say look, you want to discuss this with me I am a nervous wreck I can not wait for 3 weeks, this isn't good for me or my baby. They should at least tell you if there is something wrong or not. Or demand your appt be moved up.
Hope everything is okay. But think of it also this way if it was anything horrible, they would have gotten you in asap.
Sorry wanted to elaborate: They test your blood count levels, your white and red counts to see for infections and such. They make sure your HCG levels are where they should be for how far along you are to make sure its not a miscarriage. They test to see if your anemic. They test your blood sugar, not the big blood sugar test but just a min. one. hope that helps a bit more. They also at this should be checking to see what type of blood you have.
I added a few links you can look over.

I know at my first visit just 3 months ago they confirmed my pregnancy and tested me for the resistance to Chicken Pox, Toxoplasmosis, and a few other diseases like Reubella. They also checked my blood type. Turns out I am RH negative which is kind of rare and means that I need to take a certain drug later in the pregnancy to avoid developing antibodies to my babies blood. Try not to worry too much until you see the doctor. If it was something very serious I'm sure they would have brought you in right away.

They may just want to talk to you about your blood sugars, your cholesterol, or tell you that yes your pregnant and go over a few things with you. The first blood work I had done took forever to get back and I was in the same situation and all she wanted to do was give me a bunch of pamphlets to take home. It could be anything really....but stressing over it isn't good for you or baby. I would demand to get in earlier and if that doesn't work maybe they could send the results to another Dr. so you can see them sooner. But just relax!!!! I know your head is probably going insane. Congrats!!<3

I was told that if you dont get a call, then you are fine, but if you do, there is something they need to discuss. If you are RH negative, they could want to discuss that with you, or it could be something serious. Hopefully your doctor just has a different policy regarding test results and they have everyone come in to discuss it.
I ended up getting a card in the mail that confirmed my pregnancy, adv that everything was clean, and my blood type.
Either way, Good luck!

I believe I was tested for anemia, general blood count, (HIV which i had to consent to), and some other general things. They took 8 vials of blood.
Most doctors won't discuss anything over the phone and make everyone come in because that way if they had to give bad news it would be in person so they make everyone come in.
Try not to worry

I wouldnt worry to much as they did the same to me, they said they needed to discuss my results and i was terrified, turned out that all it was is im not immune to rubella(think its called that) and after baby is born i have to get a shot. They do usually test for HIV but would of asked you about that. I dont know what it could be but dont worry yet, stress is not good for you or baby. good luck

well if they were testing for HIV or anything like that you would have to sign for it. However they might have to make you come in to tell you you are pregnant. good luck.

they usually check for deities, aids, and sugar counts. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about.
