Well, it depends on how well you know her interests. What I would do is buy her a gift certificate to someplace that your boss might like, like to Black Angus or something. That may have not helped much, but I find that gift certificates are extremely handy these days. lol.

Why do you have to give her a present in the first place. If it is customary in your company choose something that is not too personal and not too expensive. A nice bouquet of flowers, a box of special chocolates, a funky mousepad, a plant for her office, or a picture frame and a nice card.

Gift certificates for a store, spa, dinner for 2 etc, office cup, engraved pen set, wallet, purse, perfume set, champaign set - give it to her after hours as a drop off present that way you are not bringing it to work, gourmet coffee set or think of her hobbies.

i would give her a certificate for her favorite restaurant. or Starbucks card
for up to 25 or 30 .
or go to body and bath; get a gift package some of them have a candle.
or send her a Christmas center piece for her home at your favorite flower shop.
