I think Heyman was a terrible manager for ecw . I do think wwe will do a better job at getting the ratings back up for that brand .Personally i think they should just merge ecw and smackdown together Then friday night smackdown will really rock

ECW is gonna crumble without Paul Heyman. Without Paul, what do you have? Instead of listening to Stephanie McMahon who knows nothing about ECW whatsoever Vince should have listened to Paul and let Paul run things the way that it should have been run!! Stephanie has had it out for Paul for a long time now and I guess that daddy has to keep his precious, spoiled brat of a daughter happy!
It's easy to place the blame for ECW's low ratings and the PPV's on Paul but Vince was the one doing the storylines and the bookings. Hopefully Stephanie or Shane don't get control of ECW because those two will ruin it even more.
I'm a diehard fan of WWE but they better hope that Paul doesn't go to TNA because if Paul does then WWE is gonna have a lot of trouble on their hands because this is surely gonna boost TNA up!

ECW will now crumble more than ever before. Like him or not, Heyman is ECW's engine, and without him, a whole bunch of extremists are going to leave or try to get released. I dont think WWE realizes the tru potential of Paul Heyman, or the fact that he could cause some serious damage to WWE if he joins TNA. He could bring Sabu, RVD, Sandman, Dreamer, Mahoney, and even Big Show along with him. Vince should have given ECW two hours, allowed Heyman to handle it overall, and everything would have been fine. I'm a WWE fan, but I sense that companies like TNA will take advantage of this situation.

The McMahons have screwed ECW over. Stephanie has no concept of what ECW is about, or what it is supposed to be. As
far as I'm concerned, the reason the PPV stunk is because McMahon did the booking and is listening to the wrong people, and ignoring the advice of the people who know what they're talking about. Stephanie should keep her mouth shut, because she knows nothing when it comes to booking. WWE taking over the ECW brand could have been great, but they are killling it with their lame angles. If they wanted the old ECW, Paul Heyman should have been given full creative control. I don't even watch
ECW or the WWE shows anymore because of this. I will watch
the old ECW, and maybe the ECW dvds produced by Big Vision
Entertainment (Hardcore Homecoming, November Reign, and
Forever Hardcore), because those were closer to the old ECW
than what Vince and his family portraying as ECW. Vince may
hold the rights to the name and their video library, but he doesn't
have the spirit. Vince should have been smart, and let Heyman
handle the booking and talent, and he could have dealt with the
business side, and maybe the promotion, since Vince has a marketing degree. The product stinks to high hell, ECW should
die, because the WWE's ECW is terrible. They should bring
back the Hardcore TV ECW they aired in the old days, not the
crap that buried them on TNN, which became SpikeTV.

Bad move. But this isn't the first time this has happened to Heyman. If you have watched and read about wrestling you know that Heyman is a excellent, underrated writer and booker. As a matter of fact, one of the only times that Smackdown has beaten Raw in the ratings since the brand split. The real problem here is three-fold:
1. It's easy to blame Paul for the lack of success on ECW, but what do you expect?? You have one hour to show your talent, build up matches/PPVs, and appease your sponsors. Heyman did better than anyone else in this circumstance.
2. Vince has the history of taking out problems on the wrong people. The best example of this was back in 2003 when he interrupted a match between Rhyno and Tajiri because it was "boring and was crap" and literally told them to get out of the ring.
3. Stephanie McMahon HATES Heyman. Don't know what the beef is....but there is one there.
It's time for TNA to jump on Heyman if they want to get ahead

Well, in my opinion, ECW started off terribly and as the times went on, it has improved just a tad but fell right back to the bottom with their OWN FIRST PPV, December to Dismember. It's NOT likely that you would have only TWO worth watching matches on a PPV. Paul Heyman sucked BIG TIME on that one, and because of that, he needs to be LET GO from the ownership of ECW!!!

This is old news. Anyway without Heyman their is no ECW, Heyman created ECW. Vince has lost it, he's letting his power get to him more then ever and he's destroying not only the WWE but all of pro-wrestling. He got rid of Heyman only to show the ECW guys whose really in charge, he thinks its going to scare guys like RVD and Sabu into working with the system. I don't think Vince is right for what he did because he did'nt create ECW but for the sake of ECW and what i always think will be a legendary influence on the attitude era I hope he can fix it.

yeah vince totally screwed over ECW. Once the greatest wrestling promotion noone had ever heard of, vinnie mac figures he would either make it bigger and in his own image or kill it off so noone remembers the GOOD ECW years when they had the most loyal and faithful fans. I will never buy another PPV from WWE ever. Hope Paul Heyman lands with TNA and they put together a great product without vince mcmahon.

Their is more to this story then we know but to me this just means that ECW is about to go belly up just Like the XFL. Personally Vince made the mistake of calling his new brand ECW and not something else I mean ECW is dead and will not be given a 3rd chance folks.
