Guys....why do most of you shut down when your wife or G/F cries?

I think that guys often associate a girls personality or the girl as being "one of the guys". For example, if my best friend started crying over someone being rude to them, I'd block it out. Sometimes it also depends on length of relationship and the guy becomes more comfortable.

All-in-all it just depends on the guy and how sensitive he is. This also goes for some girls I know that can be insensitive as well.
