Sure! Provided you complete x amount of "free" offers, signing up for credit cards and what not, and also give the email address of x amount of friends who will do the same.

Nope.
Trick is in fine print. small small print. Volenteer survey means they dont have to pay you for your time, your under the impression that you 'could' win. Surveys that do not state you will win something, send like 5 bucks, or a free movie ticket, for your time and effort in taking part in the survey. Yet most of time those win if you take a survey, are gimmics to sell stuff to you. And profit from selling your email address.
In fact McDonalds was in trouble a few years ago because that Monopoly game that they have, the friends of CEO's would win all of the cool prizes, because they would know exactly where to find the winning game peices. They won the snow moblies, and vacations ect.

If you are refering to the ads to get a free ipod or lap top be aware that they make you jump through hoops. You complete the survey then you have to buy one of the offers then refer up to ten friends and I am told sometimes you don't get the promised item. Check out some forums on the Internet and you will find that the free item is not free after all. Don't forget you may also have to pay a lot for shipping and handling.

I filled a couple of those surveys out and never received what they promised..It is a scam to get your address so they can sell your information to advertisers. They also get your phone number which is why I probably get a lot of telemarketer calls. Thank god for caller id..any number that is 1800 or unlisted I don't pick up ,and a lot of my messages on my service is half the recorded message because most of it is taped.

You can get free stuff, but 99% of the time, you have to spend money on other things like signing up for a subscription for months worth of coffee or a year subscription to a magazine....to technically its not Free!

I don't think most ads are real. All they want is to build a customer database for them to use or to sell it to others. Very few are real though and they don't last long

no, after the survey you have to complete an "offer" or 2, and that means you have to buy something or sign up for something, to get what ever they are giving away

If you want to go around it circles then go ahead. But remember nothing is free in this world except air. At lease for now.

no you don't. You usually have to sign on to something, like a 3 year membership to a site, or something equally lame, and end up spending more on that then you would actually buying the prize.

Some are. But read the fine details... they require you to sign up for X number of 3rd party services which require $.
A lot of them aren't... they just want to steal your info.
