Unlike most European leftists, most Latin American leftists, believe in God. At least some of them pretend so. It's not possible to know if a person believes in God, unless you are this person.

Fidel Castro obviously don't
Hugo Chávez likes to mention Jesus in his speeches.

Anyway, most believe in God but most are anti-clerical too.

some do some don't.. but Latin American nations are predominantly Catholic
