Why did the Goths migrate? and what would a goth woman be named?

I don't mean the current label of goths or gothic

assuming you mean the historic Goths (rather than the recent vampire wanna-bes), it was a dimino effect - huns sweeping in from the east caused many peoples of Europe to flee, or be trampled - it was a question of stay and fight Eurasia's top horde, or go conquer land from an easier target. The Goths chose to head southwest, at a point whem Rome was weak.
