Use lots of Aquanet so you can have really big hair. And too much blush. And wear lots of pink and purple eyeshadow. Were something with a big fluffy or ruffley skirt and big shoulders. And don't forget the ankle socks. Or where pinch-tucked (pinch-rolled?) or pegged jeans. And those rubberband bracelet thingys around your wrists (try the accessory stores). And big earrings.
Music: 80's hair metal (Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue, etc.). Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson circa Thriller, Prince (1999, Purple Rain), Billy Idol, Eurithmics, vintage Madonna, The Cure, Jody Watley, Paula Abdul, The Bangles, Wham, The Police, Pet Shop Boys. Maybe buy a few 80's compilation cd's.

I am a child of the 80's.
You will have to play Cyndi Lauper (Girls just want to have fun)
Madonna (Like a virgin, Holiday, etc...)
Play some Pet shop boys and Duran Duran
M.J (even though he is weird now - back then he was IT)
Wham!
Simply Red
Lionel Ritchie (hello)
Some of those 80's soft rock bands music....Platinum Blonde, Twisted sister.
Have fun!
