You pose a tough question. What exactly should you do?
Some of you may disagree and you may call me crazy but I am going to say, go out and buy a new belt. I realize that's a radical statement but I stand by it.

If you only have a short piece of string or a twist tie you can hook two belt loops together sometimes and it will cinch it in until you can get a belt, it shows less than other methods especially if you have a jacket over and do it in the back. I know sometimes if you have a meeting or are teaching a class there's no time to go buy another belt, this trick saved me a couple of times, learnt it from my wacky college professor.

Roll the waist down until it bunches up and stays in place. Then find a belt or piece of string.

You should pierce your tongue, chain it to your belt loops, and start singing soprano as a Vegas showgirl.
