it is really not about what other people think, but it is how you feel about your mate. feelings is all that matter because you can love whoever you want to. and be in love with whoever you want to. color is just that COLOR. In fact i actually like to see interracial couples because that lets me know there is another open-minded person in the world besides me.
i am black and i was engaged to this wonderful white guy, and i used to love to watch him sleep and look at the beautiful contrasting color of our skin.

I to am in a Interracial Relationship, I'm White andmy wife is Black. We have a child as well. But I noticed that where I live(california) I dont really get any crazy looks. But when I was in the south (Georgia) I got a lot of crazy looks from other black people. I dont see anything wrong with it. When I was younger I never understood that say "love sees no color" I thought how can you not see the race in people. But since Ive gotten older, I realized that Love really sees no color. If people dont like OH F'ing well they should just get over it.

Interracial relationships are beautiful the way all loving relationships are beautiful. That being said...I'm not so sure that the criticism your husband and you face is because it is interracial, so much as it is because your husband is specifically Arabic...and right now the US does not appear to be particularly enlightened about anything or anyone Arabic. In other words, there are a lot of redneck, armchair patriots who, lacking the spine to actually go fight in Afghanistan and Iraq, choose to "strike a blow for freedom" by discriminating against their neighbors of Arab descent. I guess they feel things such as courage and honour can be cheaply won by throwing coarse remarks at people in the produce section of the grocery store. On the other hand, your ability to maintain your relationship in the face of this rabid stupidity is a testament to your strength of character.

Hi
Im latin and my boyfriend is european (we look so diferent physicaly!) and I think it is perfectly fine to be in an interracial relationship (Neither beeter nor worse than being with somebody with your own ethnicity, it depends on every person). Maybe the people who surrounds you or maybe your enviroment -city, media- make you feel bad sometimes but you shouldn't. Who are they to judge? Why is it such a big deal for them? If you're happy and you can learn from each other I think that's the important. You have to repect each other's culture and if you love your husband and he loves you too, what's the problem?
Forget about those ignorant people who criticize you. Love is too good to waste your energies like that.

Personally I would only get into a relationship with someone of my own ethnicity because I want my child to be like me and my family to be like that too. I'm not a big fan of the whole Rainbow Family idea. But that's just me. I can see all the thumbs down for my lack of political correctness. What's so wrong with wanting to stick to one's own? PS: its not because I don't think other races are unattractive.

If you love someone why do you let it bother you? When you marry someone of a different race you know d@mn well people are going to do that. So get over it, if you love them, screw everybody else. Your never going to stop people from doing it.
My sister has a disabled daughter in a wheelchair, people point and stare and whisper at her, she just learned to live with it.

I like them. I was in a couple my self. My exboyfriend was Latino and it didn't bother me at all. I loved for who he was and he did the same to me. We got alot of criticism because where we live,(DC, Northern VA) Blacks and Hispanics don't really get along too well and a lot of Black guys in my neighborhood tried to jump my boyfriend while at a train station. We mutually broke up because rumors and haters trying to ruin our love. I' might get back with him.

In live in Texas and there are very few interracial couples even when more than half the population here is non-white. Its highly unlikely that people of different cultures intermarry here.

I don't think about them at all. I have better things to worry about. My husband is hispanic and I am white. Our child gets alot of grief where we live for being a "gringa," especially with her blue eyes. It only bothers me when I see hate in children, because I know their parents are teaching it.

Yay, as long as this is for the superb reason. There are some human beings (gay and quickly) who do the biracial element only to tutor how tolerant and funky they're. i might desire which you do no longer fall in this type. BTW do no longer difficulty approximately hell. this is reserved for many extra severe "offenses".
