i have a brother, 7, and a sister, 8 that are both pretty smart.
granted, neither plays video games often, but my brother, to say the least, isn't bad at video games.
a game like kingdom hearts would frustrate him, because it's too hard.
crash bandicoot is decent, because they can get kinda far before it starts getting too difficult, and the kids will feel like they actually got somewhere.
the game "eye toy - play 2" is great, it comes with a little camera for the ps2, and after you set it up the camera will actually show the kids INSIDE the games. the included mini games are all easy to understand, with minimal instructions. for example, one of the games has your image as a big giant in a city setting, with all these little karate guys attacking them, and the player swats them away like flies
just because a game is disney themed does not make the game easy - remember that
while you are shopping in stores, do NOT ask the people that work there for help. you'll get higher quality help from, believe it or not, kids (near the parents, of course - i'm sure you would feel odd if you saw a stranger saying something to your kids while holding a game). just hold a game case, and say "hey... do you know if this game is too hard for a seven year old?"

My seventy seven 365 days previous mom informed me that if she ever has significant surgical treatment, she needs to make confident the clinical specialist performed a lot of video games remodeling into up! The hand-eye coordination needed for most video games is vast! I have 3 toddlers and they have by no skill concept they could do what replaced into on the internet recreation. i think once you've a particular desires toddler who can not tell truth from make-believe, that must be an difficulty. (this is not a positioned-down, with techniques from the way). i have worked with a number of particular desires toddlers that ought to't distinguish - they element they could contact the failings on the show show. My toddlers have all performed video games and they are all A scholars and haven't any themes with habit in school. Their interest spans are only nice. and they study (properly, the oldest 2 do, the youngest remains getting to comprehend) virtually non-stop.

Any of the Lego Star Wars games are good for young kids. I think Cars came out for the PS2, so give that a look. Those are some pretty good starters.
