Kerry I heard that taking it up the bum works but tell him not to wipe his nob on the blinds as this tends to chafe! Alternatively, go to see a consultant who speaks english and demand a section, then you can come drinking with me in the new year Frodo! 10 points please!

Well first you should definatly not start it until you are about 40 wks, you dont want your baby to be in any type of danger right?
Here is a helpful site I found for you. How far are you anyway?? Has your mucous plug come out yet?? I think you should probably walk ALOT!! It says on the article it helps the baby move into position. Definatly don't do any thing if you aren't ready. The article also says you can try these methods all you want but if the baby isn't ready it just won't work. Be patient the day will be here soon enough. Think of the safety of your child more than anything. Good luck

raspberry leaf tea needs to be taken regularly, castor oil can be dangerous, semen is the best known starter as it is the natural form of the synthetic hormones used in labour induction. Keep moving, practice squatting and look up the acupressure points on the shin and upper back and get someone to apply pressure there for you. Your orgasm would help as well as your male sexual partner's orgasm, but can also be uncomfy at a late stage. Movement, yoga positions, and acupressure or certain types of reflexology may all help. Also try NOT to get into a warm bath too early as it can slow things down once they get started sometimes. Remember dates are not set in stone, only 5% of babies are born on their date and there is usually at least 2 weeks leeway either way.

Please, please, please don't use Castor oil. This can cause the baby to poo while in the uterus still and if they swallow it, it can get into their lungs and cause severe health problems and even death. Now for your question. Nothing will help induce labor if your body and baby isn't ready but there are many methods of regulating your contractions. One that worked for me was hot tea (any kind you want) with REAL ginger root. Shave the root down, after peeling the skin off and squeeze as much juice as you can into the tea. I will warn you that it tastes very gross but it worked for me and a few others I know. It will have a strong peppery taste. try to drink as much as you can. You can also do a search online of other methods. Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Hi. do the fun equilavent of a "stretch & sweep" (where the nurse puts a finger inside and sweeps over the cervix) get ur bloke 2 do it. also walking or if u can manage gentle jogging helps, along with housework like hoovering or something that requires elbow grease, but be careful as u can pull muscles & things very easily at this stage, believe me i've done it, very painful. i had 2 kids (now 3yrs and the youngest is 11months) and i had 2 be properly induced at the hospital with both of them, thankfully it got them going rather quick, my first took 5hrs from the first pains and my second took just an hr and a half. good luck sweety!

The raspberry leaf tea takes a while to work, I would make sure you have at least 2-3 cups a day (it has to be raspberry leaf, not raspberry). Also, walking, up hills if possible. The other thing that works are stairs, preferably while carrying heavy objects.

I am in the same boat as you! I asked this question but get the same answers; had sex with my boyfriend 3times yesterday, nipple stimulation did bring on intense contractions but they eased up, I dont want to try castor oil because it makes you have sivere diharea, i have no stairs lol and its too cold to go out for a walk. We need some new answers lol. a couple things i have yet to try are acupressure(press between ur thomb and index finger) exercise(move furniture) bumby roads, I dont know what else to try but maybe i gave you a couple new ideas? good luck

Twice i was over my due date and tried everything to induce labour to no avail. Sometimes these things just don't work i had to be induced both times in hospital so just wait it out. I know thats easier said than done i was really fed up at the end but it'll happen when it happens.
Good Luck on the birth of your baby x

Unfortunatly babies come when ready and hell on earth will not shift them and who can blame them when they are all cosy and snug and we are cold.
One thing that did work for me was when I went in to be induced i started getting a bit of back ache and had no treatment the nurse said to go and have a hot bath as hot as i could stand. I did this got dressed went to my bed lifted leg to get on it and pop waters broke and labour started.
Hey laughter can also start it off hope I made you smile and it is true baby arrived 7 hard long hours later!
