That is the problem with prequels, so many loose ends to tie up.
Shouldn't Yoda have noticed them also? And Vader/Annekin too he built 3PO. He has contact with them at different times.

all R2 Droids look alike, as well as most Protical (c class)Droids.
Also he may have recognized then but simply choose not to say anything as a way of keeping his hermit oath of not revealing himself as Obiwan untill the correct timming.

That is a very good question....I think you have found an error in the plot.
The only explanation I can think of is that alot of time had passed. 20 years or so...but it still does not make sense.
He says "I can't seem to remember owning any droids" or something to that effect.

Who says it did not? Remember, he was keeping a big secret and those two droids were a big part of it. If he made that known then he would risk the secret. You have to read into this.

He was more than likely feigning that he did not know them to keep up the big secret---could have just been that he was old and having memory problems though.

he does recognize them but don't forget r2 an c3po had they're memories wiped so even when he recognized them they would have no idea who obi-wan is.

Heh, this is easy. Just think of how many droids are out there! They likely have very similar models, so, he probably thought that they were typical droids.
