I am 25 years old and me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant. It has been 71 days since my last period. The past two months I have been very dizzy and nauseous. I had a blood pregnancy test two weeks ago that came out negative. I have been having cramps the past two weeks. Yesterday I bleed, but it was VERY little and pink, and it has already stopped. I am still dizzy and nauseous. What could be going on???

That's more common than you might think.

Your period could be late because you want to get pregnant. My husband and I have been trying for years and it seems that as soon as we started trying, my period started getting messed up.

I went to several doctors and nothing is ever wrong with me either. It could be stress. In my case, I've gained a little weight and have been told that weight gain can be the problem because your hormones can change.

If you bled yesterday, it's probably starting slowly.

You could also be pregnant and it isn't showing up yet. It's possible that you don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone to show up...

It's not a cut and dry thing. You're probably ok though. You could be under stress trying to have a baby and not even realize you're under that much stress.

Good luck and don't worry too much. Just take care of yourself.

Just a thought:

Have you ever been tested for iron deficiency? Are you eating red meat or spinach or taking a vitamin? You could have an iron deficiency which could cause your symptoms too.

If you feel you may be pregnant - go to another Dr. and be checked again. I know many people who have been told they are not pregnant and the Drs. have been wrong. Trust your instinct. All of the symptoms you listed can happen during pregnancy, even some spotting and cramping. It doesn't always mean there is something wrong. I have three children and have had lots of weird symptoms. If you really aren't pregnant, something is definately going on. Keep looking until you get a Dr. who can give you an answer. You deserve to have good medical care. You know your body better than anyone else, trust yourself. JM

I am 28 yrs old, and I once didn't come on for 6 months straight. No pregnancy, doc said it was all stress. Sometimes when you are so stressed out, your body will stop functioning as it should.

You may have an illness. It sounds like you have been to an OB/GYN. What did they say? This sounds like something you should be seeing them about. You could also be putting yourself through mental stress. You can fake yourself into thinking you are pregnant. Take it easy and see a doctor.

Yes, stress can be a huge factor on your cycle. Also, make sure you're eating properly. Anorexia affects menstrual cycle too.
