Yup. I was alive at the time, and it was about the strangest thing I'd heard -- to the point I didn't believe it. I was seven at the time and the elementary school was excessively amused at this ultimate toilet humor. Come to think of it, many adults thought it was funny, too, but they weren't so open about it to us kids.
