I am married now, but I have some guy friends that are African American who are sweet and good fathers/husbands- and they married a varied range of ladies in regards to race. There are some nice guys out there, and they are usually hard to find no matter what color they are. When I was still single, I looked in churches, my college, museums, etc. It's generally not WHO you are looking for, but WHERE you look for him. I would never date a guy I met at a club or the mall.

I have just got divorced recently. I was in a marriage where my x husband committed adultery not only once but twice. Then if that wasn't a good enough blow to me. He produced two babies with one of the women he was secretly ............... When I found this out I couldn't believe I was so taken. I just couldn't figure out when he had the time to do all these things with these women. Now I am having trouble just moving on. I do not want to be done this way again. I am going to take my time before hitting the dating scene.

In Maine, black guys are a hot commodity. They're seen as flashy and exotic because they all come from away. So there's always a woman waiting to pounce. All the ones I have met are playing that to the hilt. Not worth the heartache!

ONLY with afro american memn have I experienced drama and problems...fact.
something about the culture....one parent homes or being raised by women.(no fathers around) in general I mean......
hip hop culture etc................ its a whole new world for me to date a black man...and it aint pretty...its HARD. there are too many struggles and things to have to deal with on a daily basis that have NOTHING to do with money or racism...but with his INNER struggle. a black man doing well financially and in every way....still finds a problem.or MAKES a problem.........in my experience....seems to be a spiritual problem....and lack of knowing what true manhood is. i am not racist but now i will take a break too, like you and NOT DATE A BLACK MAN....especially AMERICAN ones.... and hey dont get me wrong.... I have issue with "american men" in general now, of any race...american white men too..........
I have old fashioned wants in a man...... hard to find nowadays, in this culture.

When I was dating, all my problems came from American Black men. It was not until I met a black man who was from another country did I realize what the real problem was.

That is typical male behavior holding pattern sweetheart. All of them are commitmentphobes. If you find one that is not he is either Gay, or has been married before and misses the lifestyle he had before.
