hey tulip, is this some sort of Psych study? if so then my answer wont help cos it will tick all the boxes....sorry.
my GF will sometimes leave the bed in that just slept in state, then other days she will pull the sheets straight....myself ? i get annoyed at both scenarios, i like the bed to be tidy, but not sheets all pulled up. reason being the warmth of a just slept in bed could create ideal conditions for unwelcomed things to flourish there...yeukkk. (i read it somewhere) but how you leave ur bed spose to indicate ur lifestyle or the type of person you are (i read that somewhere too ) but an untidy bed doesnt necessarily mean an untidy person or a disorganised lifestyle....could well mean that the person is just full of fun and an up n at em kinda person....an im sure you are :)

OK, first off, I do not make my bed either.
I am admittedly, not a stickler for neatness. I keep my house clean enough but don't overdo it.
My dishes are done, my bathrooms are clean, my trash is taken out, my floors are vacuumed or swept and my laundry is done. I have clutter, things misplaced, things not always put away.
Some would say it is laziness. But does it really matter if you do not make your bed? I say no because no one goes in my room anyway. It's really a personal decision. If you want to get in the habit of making your bed every morning, you can do it. It will take about 30 days to form a habit. Do it if it's important to you (or if you live with someone who insists on it)

I am lucky, my love makes the bed for us - and usually my morning tea and his coffee, while I get ready for work. When I was single and sleeping alone, I seldom even wrinkled up the bed and would just pull the covers over and be done. I think it's a military thing because every man that I've been with (ouch, that sounds bad) who has been in the military was prompt to get up and always made the bed up neatly.

simple answer the best the you can do is not make a bed the morning after you have slept in it.
as some of you will undoubtedly know everytime you go to bed you share your bed with dust mites and bed bugs. these are in general perfectly harmless unless you have an alergy to them.
However making your bed increases the warmth and induces a perfect loving environment for the bugs to reproduce. so the best think to do is only make your bed just before you are ready to get in to it, if you want to keep the bed bug population to a minimum.
Remeber also if you do have an alergy to steam clean the mattress regularly.
I hope this helps.

WHen i was younger I would never make my bed. However when i reached a certain age i realized that leaving to work when you room was clean (or failry clean) was nice. When i get home from work it is nice to have a clean room with a bed that is made. It is also a good idea if you have people come over after work (like a girl friend or boy friend) that might see your room.

....hmmm I don't know how to answer this exactly because there is never a time when my bed is empty. LoL I know that sounds funny, but I sleep during the night, like most pple, but my husband works nightshift so he wakes me up in the morning to get the kids up and ready, so he gets in as I get out. So, I guess I only make my bed when we have riled it too much and it's no longer comfortable.

No its not laziness, we sweat alot when we are in bed which soaks into the sheets. The bed needs to be left so it can evaporate into the air during the day.

I make my bed probably twice a month. I get up in the morning and leave it the way it is and to the garbled mess I return in the evening. I jump right in, usually fully clothed.

Do you make your bed before you get into it again? If not, I would say that's lazy. Whether you make it when you get up depends whether you mind coming back to a tip... I used to just leave mine, but then I read that it's bad feng shui. Now I just shake out the duvet before I leave the house, and it makes a real difference psychologically, as though things haven't been left unfinished.
It's also bad feng shui to leave the toilet seat up, apparently.

I have the top bunk on a really high bunk (probably 6 1/2 feet high) so I just don't bother. Its a lot of work to make it. And I'm lazy
