Have you accidentally sprayed yourself? Have you stopped a bad guy?

When I sprayed an inmate in her cell, the mist was sucked into the air ducts and came out into my office, when I was done dousing her and went to right a report, it hit me like a brick wall. Also it works really good on stray dogs when jogging in the morning.

I don't have an experience with pepper spray, but with tear gas. I can tell you it ain't nothing nice to experience. I was "testing" it out on a mound of fire ants, (don't ask!), and the wind changed directions. I only got a whiff, but can assure you that's all it took to reduce me to a tearing, snotty mess. So with that information, I decided that my S&W 40 cal. is my best defense, and yes it has stopped a bad guy.

I take it with me whenever I go running, more for the threat of dogs than guys though.
My roommate in college, though, had bear spray because she had a stalker. That stuff was hard core. The stalker came by one night drunk and she sprayed him. It shoots up to 30 feet.

We had a seminar about it when I was in college and I bought some to carry on my key chain. I ended up spraying myself in the eye one day and it was excruciating. I got rid of it then and there and have never carried a weapon since.

i had a small can of pepper spray on my key chain.i accidently sprayed myself in the face.i had to sit in my car for more than a half hour before i could open my eyes to see to drive.

don't ever count on this stuff to stop a wild man.
Does sometimes. Lot of times they just ignore it.
Ask any cop. They all have stories.

No experiences here thank God. I dont own any, and dont go anywhere without my spouse. Never been put in that situation.
