My first car was an old style Fiat Panda and now I drive a Peugeot 206 which is lovely! I would recommend getting a different car to the one you have passed your test in. As for insurance Diamond did a good deal for me!

Look into the insurance before you decide on the type of car or go out armed with a list of possibles.

I'm a first time driver aswell, and I got a Fiat Seicento. They're very good for first time drivers. If you want to spend a little less € then you could always opt for its predessecor, the Fiat Cinquecento.

Seems to me that KNOWALL knows f*ck all, Ireland is a nation of potential driving champions. Anyway, the Toyota Yaris is a great car, not my cup of tea, but reliable all the same.

A cheap little run around, cheap to buy and cheap to insure.
Ford Fiesta, VW Golf, VW Polo, Citreon Saxo anything like that.

I started off in a nissan micra,theyre prob the best,theyre only 1 litre so its cheap on tax and petrol.Or a fiat punto,ford fiesta or the fiat cinquecento and seicento would be ideal.

Anything Japanese - Toyota Yaris, Nissan Micra, Suzuki Swift. All of these are cheap to run and reliable. Also come with good safety kit.

Depends where you live. If you're in town then something small economical and comfortable to sit in the traffic with.
